Orvial is being built to describe an intended workspace once, adapt it across the desks where you work, and verify the real result.
A MacBook moves between a home desk, an office ultrawide, and a laptop-only setup.
Physical coordinates, display identities, and available space change. The logical relationship between development, research, communication, and planning work does not.
Orvial’s intended model keeps the logical Scene intact and resolves it against the current Environment.

02 · Desired state, and what could not be proved
Interface design belongs to a later phase. What is settled is the information model: the workspace you asked for, the outcome that was reached, and an honest account of anything in between.
03 · Three words do the work
Scene
A named logical desired state containing the applications, resources, windows, relationships, and policies that belong together.
Environment
A physical or conceptual setup such as Home, Office, or Mobile, including display topology, semantic roles, and capabilities.
Verification
A fresh comparison between intended properties and the observed result, not an assumption based on an API returning success.
04 · One contract for every action
Gravity, Scenes, shortcuts, and future interfaces are intended to converge through one deterministic pipeline.

Read the current displays, applications, windows, and evidence.

Adapt the logical Scene to the Environment that actually exists.

05 · Availability
Current status
Orvial is currently focused on proving that the underlying macOS engine can observe, plan, act, and verify reliably. There is no download or launch date yet.
06 · Plain answers
Not yet. Orvial is in an engineering and reliability phase, and the site follows the build rather than presenting unfinished work as a released product. There is no download and no announced release date.
No. People with more than one display setup are likely to feel the value first, because that is where a saved layout breaks down — but a Scene is about recurring working states, not about how many screens you own.
No. The question that matters is whether you return to the same working states, not what your job title is. Research, presenting, reviewing documents and finance work all have the same shape.
The core does not depend on AI. It is deterministic: a plan is calculated, checked for safety, applied and then verified. Any future AI feature interprets what you asked for and still goes through that same pipeline — it does not get a private route to your desktop.
Not as a launch feature.
Not by default. Once a Scene has converged, normal control returns to you. Any future continuous enforcement would be something you opt into deliberately.
The current direction is a full-feature trial rather than a permanently limited free edition. Pricing has not been announced.
The intention is that the local deterministic core is owned, not rented — it should not stop working when a subscription ends. Any future cloud services would be priced separately. None of this is final.
